Yep, you heard correctly! Henry Turner Jr & Flavor is headlining the Ultimate Louisiana Party and he wants you guys to come celebrate! The show starts at 11:00am, with Gospel music and is free to the public until 2:00pm., with non-perishable food donations. After 2:00pm a $5.00 donation is requested. The event, over at dusk, will feature multiple performers, food vendors and a merchandise village.

The food donations will benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Additional proceeds will go to the non-profit Endangered Species Media Project, Project Self Inc., an anger management and self help non-profit organization, is sponsoring the event, along with Trader Joe’s, who is sponsoring the stage. The 2014 Ultimate Louisiana Party Tour III continues through September on the bands’ annual circuit of Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington, performing in clubs, at festivals and hosting additional Ultimate Louisiana Parties along the way.

The band is Henry Turner, Jr. on vocals and guitar, with veteran R&B drummer and vocalist Ronnie Houston, and new to the tour this year is bass player Patrick Joffrion. Background vocalists are Jenessa Nelson and Diana Wills, with a Special Guest appearance by Ras Wayne Vicks. The event will open with Gospel Music and other performers are scheduled to appear including singer/songwriter Johnny Midnite, with additional local acts to be announced soon.
