The Dave Fox Group – If these Songs Could Talk is the new DFG album. With a progressive approach to the art of song interpretation, both standards and original songs provide the group with structures for their fascinating improvisations. The current line-up of Pat Lawrence (acoustic bass), Chip Newton (guitar), Jon Marc Ryan Dale (drums), and Dave Fox (piano) features some of today’s best individual jazz improvisers in a group collective that results in a reaffirmation of jazz as a cutting-edge form of music.
