We’re on a bit of a Lee Conway binge session lately, we have to confess. And really, why wouldn’t we be? Any fan of classic country music, ESPECIALLY Australian fans, will know his name. He’s one of the sweetest slices of the Sweet Peach catalogue, and with albums like “Applewood Memoirs (People)” it really ain’t hard to see why!
This is one of Sweet Peach’s collectors items, usually seen as a rare find, should you happen to grab it on vinyl. And while that’s wonderful for collectors, it’d be a shame if the music itself was just as rare to hear, wouldn’t it be? We’ve been having a bit of withdrawal from Conway’s smooth and unique voice since we covered “Adultery”, and this hits the sweet spot just right! His is quite the legacy, and this album is yet another chapter of it that we love to revisit again and again.
