Known as the Queen of Rock & Roll, Tina Turner was an iconic artist who changed modern music forever with her incredible songs. This morning she passed away in Switzerland at the age of 83.

The 1980s simply wouldn’t have been the same in terms of cultural impact without Tina, and as such, all members of the music industry are mourning today, including us at Blue Pie Records. Today we take the time to remember Tina and the indelible mark she has left on music culture as a whole, as well as on society and those who would follow her many examples of social excellence. Though our catalogue may not be related to her works, the legacy she has left to us as listeners is undeniable, and worthy of eternal respect. She will long be missed, and forever remain “Simply The Best”.
