The nominations for this year’s APRA  Music Awards have been announced, with oft-awarded John Butler leading the way with five nominations.

Bliss N Eso, Birds Of Tokyo and Powderfinger also boast repeat appearances in the list. The categories are voted for by APRA members apart fromSongwriter of the Year, Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music (awarded to Paul Kelly this year) and Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year which are decided by the APRA Board of Writer and Publisher Directors.

Hosted by The Chaser’s Chris Taylor and Andrew Hanson, the event will take place at Sydney’s Carriageworks Tuesday 21 June.
