DJ Central’s African Diva, Suzanna Lubrano has been featured in her own feature article for the online music magazine, Mr Dreamz. The sassy Ms Lubrano had nothing to hide in her article, after answering questions about both her professional and personal life.

The article begins with Lubrano talking about her growth in her musical journey within the industry, followed by her music genre (Zouk) and how her interpretation of the genre’s development and recognition internationally. She didn’t hold back when it came to Zouk, as she stated:

“Zouk music and tropical music don’t get a lot of airplay on mainstream radio and TV networks, even though the music is hugely popular in clubs and in major citites. It’s also a pity that Zouk music has primarily developed into club music, not only in the Netherlands but worldwide nowadays, most Zouk performances are playback, whereas in the 1980s and 1990s, performances were normally done with a live band”.

Suzanna Lubrano also talked about her singing in different languages and which was her favourite, the secrets of her longetivity in the music industry, the success of her songs and even her fans at her performances such as her gig in Angola. “I’ll always remember a live show in Luanda in Angola, where women in the audience started to cry when I sang ‘Razao d’ nha Vida’ (the reason of my life), a 1999 song that even today touches the hearts of many fans.”
