Blue Pie Records pass the 2.5M Download mark for our catalogue world wide for 2010. It has been a long and often very hard road to drive down but the hard times seem to be passing us by as we drive to greener pastures. We have now passed the 2.5M download mark from our catalogues with over 350,000 downloads happening last month alone.
Blue Pie Records continues to expand through the acquisition of catalogues. This and the many strategic alliances established by Damien Reilly and Stephen Wrench over the past 6 months all spell success. New labels like Full Entertain Music and Out Of The Box Records have been acquired and Stephen Wrench, CEO and Founder of the labels has joined the Blue PIe team as the new Global Head of A & R + NewContent Acquisitions. This has all been break through steps to allow long term growth to flourish through out the companies catalogue and roster of artists.
Blue Pie is constantly being asked to look after more and more administration and back end reporting services for labels so that they can take advantage of our world class reporting and managements systems. The company has been fortunate to have had the vision to develop its own proprietry software and as a direct result of this hard work we are now reaping the benefits of continued expansion into new and exciting markets globally.
Transparency in business is something that has been close to non existent in the music industry as a whole over 20 years ago and something that some of the major labels struggle with today. Transparency in reporting is the way of business for the leaders in the rush to secure market share. As the major labels all struggle with how to deal with the new “Music.Dot.Com” market, the leaders in the independent space like IODA, The Orchard and of course labels like Blue Pie will continue to grow and lead the way forward.
Blue Pie would like to thank the many great artists that are now enjoying solid growth in their downloads with acts like: Sunny Neji, Black Face, Burning The Day, Dale Bozzio, Sahra, Bone Angel, Barry Crocker, Southpaw, Freeway, Heaven and icons like Peter and Gordon, Gordon Waller all continue to sell consistently the world is now enjoying more and more Blue Pie music.
As Damien Reilly says: ” This is what we all strive to achieve. We are looking forward to the next 12 months of growth as we are so close now to breaking into the mainstream charts in several markets simultaneously that we can hardly wait to write what the next twelve months of sales will be. “
