AMRAP, to us, isn’t the name of a workout technique – it’s the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project by CBAA. It’s an initiative that distributes and promotes contemporary Australian music to community radio stations nationwide. AMRAP is a service strictly for Australian artists. Our radio manager Anthony Milton uses AMRAP to upload releases from all our Australian artists, with the caveat that the releases must be under 12 months old – fresh and new is the name of the game!

We have had a good amount of activity from the AMRAP community, with our releases being downloaded and played. Radio stations are loving the content in the Blue Pie catalogue, and it’s heartwarming to see that!
Four of our artists are relatively popular – SlimeyThings’ Space Toast EP springs to mind off the top of our head…
Ray Vanderby’s sexy track Hammond Dance Au Go Go has also gotten some attention by an AMRAP Affiliate and a radio station TLC 100.3 FM! We’re excited to see that track going places.
Key Loch have had the most activity with a total of 26 downloads. 14 Radio stations were included in those numbers. Plenty Valley FM 88.6 downloaded Where Is The Love and Frozen (The Remixes) multiple times! If you’re in the neck of the woods of those stations, be sure to keep an ear out!
Finally, Jack Derwin has had 27 downloads of his tracks. The Triple R radio station in particular has downloaded 14 tracks.
This initiative is part of several radio based platforms that Blue Pie and DJ Central are cooperating with. Through radio distribution, creating our own shows, and uploading our music to all manner of streaming services, we’re venturing into new worlds of marketing. Our Latin American team are hitting the ground running and helping us to market singles around the world. The efforts of team members such as Sabrina Di Claudio changes the way we go about all of this, and with artists such as DL Down3r, Key Loch, and Kay L, the talent is there and the sky is the limit! This particular journey into the world of radio is but one of many, and with the excellent results we’ve been getting from all of them, we can’t wait to see what else the future holds!
Be sure to check out amrap.org.au if you’re an aspiring radiohead wanting to get your sound out there – with results like these, we couldn’t be happier!
