Henry Turner Jr Kicks off the First Annual Saturdays Live in the Park Convert Series. On Saturday 4th December Henry Turner Jr kicked off the Saturdays Live in the park concert series in the Perkins Rd art district at Beauvoir Park. Henry Turner Jr is President of Hit City Records, Producer of the event along with the New Jersey-based Puffin Foundation, a 501(c)3, and Devine Guidance, a 501 (c) 3 organization. In a festival-like atmosphere, the concert offered a sampler of the best of Louisiana’s unique music, food Art and culture at Beauvoir Park throughout the fall, with the the artist known as Christopher Turner painting live to music on site. Exciting stage performances were headlined by Henry Turner Jr. and Flavor featuring Henry Turner Jr., guitar and lead vocalist; Ronnie Houston, drums; Challa. keyboards; Mike Simmons, Bass Guitar, Lil Donna Jane, Piano/vocal, Jonathan Boogie Long, Guitar/vocals, Roger Furr , Guitar/Vocals, Simon Oguinye, percussion; Steve Bekerage, bass guitar; and Ras Wayne Vicks, featured vocalist. Special guest appearances by Arch Bishop Jocita Williams, national gospel and jazz recording artist added another musical dimension.

The Saturdays live in the park 3.00 concert series are open to the public and will be held every Saturday as outside weather conditions permits and will serve as a meet up place for film makers to interact with original Louisiana music and Artist for collaboration as well.

This event is made possible by hundreds of community volunteers eager to share their cultures to promote greater mutual appreciation and spiritual unity. and you will be able to hear interviews on all music artist and feature Artists on www.blogtalkradio.com/hcrgoldenvibes . This is a family event and each Saturday there will be storytelling for all ages by Joanna Ballard ~ Louisiana Storyteller.
